Nexa Global Holdings Limited Value Added Tax (VAT) Policy Statement

This Value Added Tax (VAT) policy statement will explain how NEXA collects VAT from customers and deposits to the government treasury as per the direction and provisions stated in the “The Value Added Tax and Supplementary Duty Act, 2012.” Under this law, it is mandatory to register a business to the VAT authority and submit a return each month. As such, Nexa Global Holdings Limited is also a registered entity to conduct business as an “eCommerce marketplace” with the VAT authority. The BIN number is 004602116-0204.

We collect VAT automatically from every purchase made by our customers at the designated rate set by the National Board of Revenue and deposit the same to the government’s treasury each month. We inform the VAT authority after such deposits are made through the submission of a return each month. For Tax-Exempt customers, Nexa does not collect VAT if we have your exemption certificate on file. Please email us at [email protected] if you want to register yourself as VAT exempted customer. We will arrange not to deduct any VAT if the certificate complies with the “The Value Added Tax and Supplementary Duty Act, 2012” for eCommerce marketplaces. The price for each product mentioned in our marketplace is inclusive of applicable VAT. When a customer buys something through Checkout on Facebook or Instagram, the order appears on the Orders page in Nexa. Additional information about orders placed on Facebook and Instagram is available on the order's details page. This information includes the Facebook order ID, the amount of the payment, collected VAT, and the customer details.

All items at Nexa eCommerce marketplace imported from other countries are sold after necessary customs clearance during the import stage is done and paying applicable duties and taxes. Upon necessity of our customers, we can provide a copy of the required documents.
